Overview

InstantCLI ("we", "us", "our") operates the instantcli.com website and related services. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address via Google OAuth or magic link authentication (powered by Supabase). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from your Google profile.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details. Stripe provides us with a transaction identifier, the last four digits of your card, and billing email so we can associate payments with your account.

API documentation URLs. You provide us with URLs to your API documentation. We crawl and process the content at those URLs to generate CLI tools on your behalf.

Usage data. We collect basic analytics (page views, referral source) via Simple Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track personally identifiable information. We also use Google Ads conversion tracking.

How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account
  • To process payments and deliver the service
  • To crawl and process API documentation you provide, in order to generate CLI tools
  • To send transactional emails related to your account and generated CLIs
  • To improve the service and fix bugs

Data storage and security

Your account data and project data are stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS). Generated CLI source code is stored in private GitHub repositories. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication tokens, and access controls.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate:

  • Supabase — authentication and database
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • GitHub — code storage and CI/CD
  • Anthropic (Claude) — AI processing for CLI generation
  • Firecrawl — documentation crawling
  • Vercel — hosting
  • Simple Analytics — privacy-friendly website analytics

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (session tokens). Simple Analytics does not set any cookies. Google Ads may set cookies for conversion tracking.

Data retention

We retain your account data and project data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Generated repositories and associated data will also be removed.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.

Children's privacy

InstantCLI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
